This Privacy Policy explains how Spam Musubi Technologies LLC handles information when You use Waddle to Run. References to Waddle to Run may include the goose-running app, public pages, support materials, or similar names used for the Service.
Waddle to Run helps people begin or return to walking and running with adaptive plans, GPS run tracking, route cards, reminders, progress, and a playful goose companion. Most plan, route, run, and preference information is stored on Your Device and, when available under Your Apple and iCloud settings, in Your private iCloud database.

Information We Handle
Information You Provide
Depending on the features You use, You may provide:
- Onboarding and plan choices, such as prior running experience, current jogging capacity, goals, preferred running location, perceived blockers, difficulty preference, preferred run days, and weekly goal.
- Legal-acknowledgment information, such as the versions and content hashes of the Terms and Privacy Policy; the agreement-screen version and content hash, including its safety notice; the acceptance date; and the Application version, build, platform, and locale. The Application does not collect a separate age attestation as part of this agreement.
- Settings and preferences, such as distance units, audio and interval cues, reminders, route privacy mode, Apple Health saving, and commentary choices.
- Run reflections, including an optional mood, feeling, or note after a run.
- Routes You draw or save and names You give them.
- Support messages, email address, and other contact details if You contact Us.
- Purchase-related choices, such as which Subscription You select, as processed through the Application Store and Our purchase provider.
You are not required to create a Waddle to Run account to use the current iOS Application.
Location, Route, and Run Information
When You start an outdoor run or walk and grant location permission, the Application may process precise location samples to:
- Draw and save Your route.
- Estimate distance, current speed, pace, moving time, paused time, and automatic pauses.
- Filter inaccurate or implausible GPS samples.
- Compare a recorded activity with a route You planned.
- Create route history, route cards, progress summaries, and a shareable route postcard.
A saved run may include coordinates, timestamps, horizontal accuracy, start and end times, total and moving duration, distance, average pace, maximum detected speed, pause information, interval completion, mission or plan association, progress rewards, route-shape descriptions, and optional reflections.
The current location service requests permission when You begin tracking and uses location for active run and walk recording. Permission choices are controlled through Your Device settings. If location is unavailable or denied, the Application may offer a demo or timer-based experience instead of recording Your actual route.
The route privacy setting changes how routes are displayed on route cards and share images. For example, it can hide or trim the visible start and end of a route. The full recorded route may remain in the Application’s saved run data unless You delete the run or its data.
Plans, Progress, and App Preferences
The Application may store or calculate:
- Training plans, planned runs, scheduled dates, movement intervals, duration or distance targets, and completed-plan links.
- Weekly goals, plan progress, run history, streaks, experience points, badges, unlocked or equipped goose items, and similar progress information.
- Difficulty adjustments, including whether a run felt too hard, whether an easier option was used, and the next-run adjustment You select.
- Reminder schedules and whether reminders are enabled.
- Application settings and feature-access state.
This information is used to personalize the plan and experience, show progress, schedule reminders, and preserve Your choices.
Apple Health
If You turn on “Save runs to Apple Health” and grant permission, Waddle to Run may write a completed walking or running workout to Apple Health. The workout may include activity type, start and end time, duration, and distance. Demo-location activities are not written with a route-derived distance.
The current Application does not request permission to read Health data. We do not use Health information for advertising, marketing, or unrelated data mining.
Health data is stored and managed by Apple Health on Your Device and through Apple services according to Your settings and Apple’s policies. You can review or revoke Waddle to Run’s Health access in the Health app or Device settings.
Notifications and Audio Cues
If notification permission is granted, the Application can schedule local reminders for planned runs and, when promised on a trial paywall, before a Subscription trial renews. Reminder scheduling and delivery are handled by Your Device and Apple notification services. The current build uses local reminders and is not designed to send marketing push notifications.
If audio cues are enabled, the Application may use on-device speech synthesis and haptics for run, walk, and interval prompts. The Application is not designed to record microphone audio.
Route Postcards and Sharing
You can create a route postcard image and choose to share it through the iOS share sheet. Sharing is user-initiated. The image may include a displayed route, distance, duration, pace, mission information, and other visible recap details.
When You choose a destination in the share sheet, Apple and the selected application or recipient may process the shared image under their own terms and privacy policies. Waddle to Run does not automatically publish route postcards to a public feed.
Review the postcard and Your route privacy setting before sharing. Hiding start and end points reduces visible detail but does not guarantee that a route cannot reveal a sensitive place.
Purchases and Subscriptions
If You make an In-app Purchase or purchase a Subscription, payment is processed by the Application Store. We do not receive or store Your full payment card number, billing-card security code, or full Application Store account credentials.
The Application uses RevenueCat to manage offerings, purchases, Subscription status, entitlements, purchase restoration, and related diagnostics. RevenueCat may process a pseudonymous app user identifier, Application Store transaction and receipt information, product and entitlement information, Device and app metadata, IP address, and related diagnostics needed to provide purchase services.
Apple, iCloud, Maps, and Diagnostics
The Application uses Apple frameworks and services, including SwiftData, iCloud and CloudKit, MapKit, Core Location, HealthKit, local notifications, and Application Store services.
Depending on Your Device, Apple account, iCloud, backup, and Application settings:
- Plans, scheduled runs, routes, run history, progress, preferences, and similar Application data may sync through Your private iCloud database.
- Application data may be included in Device or iCloud backups.
- Apple may process map requests, location permissions, Health data, notifications, purchase records, crash reports, performance diagnostics, and App Store analytics under Apple’s policies.
We do not operate a separate server that stores Your raw GPS route history. The Application does not include a third-party advertising SDK.
When product analytics is enabled and the Application is configured for analytics, We use PostHog to process pseudonymous Usage Data such as Application lifecycle events, screens viewed, feature interactions, onboarding progress, purchase-funnel interactions, permission outcomes, and coarse buckets for run duration, distance, and activity counts. Analytics events may also include Device and Application metadata supplied by the analytics software, such as Application version, operating-system version, Device type, locale, and a random installation identifier.
Our analytics event layer is designed not to send raw GPS coordinates, route geometry or titles, Health data, free-form notes, mood or post-run feeling responses, age range, onboarding blockers, Apple account details, or advertising identifiers. Session replay and generic touch autocapture are disabled. Product analytics can be turned off in the Application’s Privacy settings. Turning it off stops future analytics collection from that Device but does not automatically delete events already processed.
How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the Service.
- To create and adapt beginner-friendly walking and running plans.
- To track active runs and walks, calculate distance and pace, detect pauses, save routes, and show run history.
- To create route cards, progress summaries, badges, goose customization, and user-initiated share images.
- To save and sync plans, routes, runs, progress, and settings through Your Device and private iCloud database when available.
- To schedule and deliver local run reminders and provide audio or haptic cues.
- To write completed workouts to Apple Health when You enable the feature and grant permission.
- To process, verify, restore, or support In-app Purchases and Subscriptions.
- To provide diagnostics, maintain reliability, prevent fraud, and improve the Service.
- To respond to support requests.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce Our Terms.
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the Company, and others.
How Information Is Stored
Plans, scheduled runs, routes, run history, progress, reflections, preferences, and settings are primarily stored using storage provided by iOS on Your Device. When iCloud is available and configured for the Application, this information may sync through Apple CloudKit to Your private iCloud database.
We do not have Your Apple ID password and generally cannot directly access information stored only on Your Device or in Your private iCloud database.
Apple Health workouts are stored in HealthKit. Purchase and entitlement records are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. Support correspondence is stored through the communication service You use to contact Us and Our business systems.
Sharing of Information
We may share information in the following situations:
- With Apple: Apple may process information related to app distribution, purchases, iCloud and CloudKit, maps, location services, HealthKit, local notifications, Device backups, diagnostics, and App Store analytics.
- With RevenueCat: RevenueCat helps Us manage purchases, Subscriptions, offerings, entitlements, purchase restoration, and related diagnostics.
- With PostHog: PostHog helps Us understand pseudonymous Application usage, conversion funnels, feature adoption, and retention so We can improve the Service. RevenueCat may send purchase and Subscription lifecycle events to the same pseudonymous analytics profile when that integration is enabled.
- At Your direction: When You choose to share a route postcard or other content, information is sent to the destination You select through the iOS share sheet.
- With Service Providers: We may use providers for email, support, legal-page hosting, diagnostics, purchase validation, or similar operational needs.
- For legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests from public authorities.
- To protect rights and safety: We may disclose information when We believe it is necessary to protect the Company, users, the public, or the Service.
- For business transfers: Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.
- With Your consent: We may share information for another purpose if You consent.
We do not sell Personal Data. We do not use Personal Data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention
Information stored in the Application remains on Your Device or in Your private iCloud database until You delete relevant records, erase Application data through an available control, delete the Application, or manage the data through Apple services, subject to backup and sync behavior.
Deleting a run or planned route through the Application removes that record from the active Application data store and may synchronize the deletion through CloudKit. Copies may remain temporarily in backups, caches, or Apple systems according to Apple’s retention practices.
Apple Health workouts remain in Apple Health until You delete them there. Deleting a run from Waddle to Run does not necessarily delete a workout previously saved to Apple Health.
Support messages and related correspondence may be retained as long as needed to respond to You, maintain business records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce Our agreements.
Purchase and entitlement records are retained by the Application Store and RevenueCat according to their policies and as needed to provide the Service, restore purchases, comply with law, and prevent fraud.
Pseudonymous analytics events are retained in PostHog according to Our configured retention settings and as needed to analyze and improve the Service, maintain security, and comply with law.
Eligibility and legal-acknowledgment records may be retained on Your Device and in Your private iCloud database for as long as reasonably necessary to document the agreement You accepted, comply with law, and resolve disputes. Deleting the Application may not delete a record that remains in iCloud or a Device backup.
Your Choices and Deleting Information
You can:
- Decline or revoke location, Health, and notification permissions in Your Device settings.
- Turn off reminders, audio cues, Apple Health saving, or other optional features in the Application.
- Turn off “Anonymous product analytics” in the Application’s Privacy settings to stop future PostHog events from that Device.
- Delete individual saved routes where the Application provides that control.
- Delete Application data by deleting records through available controls or deleting the Application, subject to iCloud sync and backup behavior.
- Delete workouts written by Waddle to Run from the Apple Health app.
- Manage iCloud and backup behavior through Your Apple account and Device settings.
- Manage or cancel Subscriptions through Your Application Store account settings.
Deleting the Application may not delete information already stored by Apple, RevenueCat, or PostHog, including Application Store purchase history, active Subscriptions, Health workouts, iCloud data, backups, diagnostics, entitlement records, or previously processed pseudonymous analytics.
You may contact Us to request access, correction, or deletion of Personal Data You have provided directly to Us. Because much of the Service’s data is stored on Your Device or in Your private Apple services, We may not possess or be able to retrieve it. We may need to retain certain information when required or permitted by law.
Security
We use reasonable measures designed to protect information handled by the Service. Apple provides platform security for the Device, iCloud, CloudKit, HealthKit, and Application Store services; RevenueCat provides security for purchase-management services; and PostHog provides security for product-analytics processing. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and We cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of Your Device, Apple account, backups, Device passcode, and biometric protections. Be careful when sharing route images or showing routes to others.
Age Restriction and Children’s Privacy
The Service and its activity features are intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. We communicate this eligibility restriction through the Application Store listing and Our Terms, but the Application does not ask You to attest to or verify Your age before an activity.
An Application Store may apply its own age ratings, family controls, account settings, or age-assurance processes. Those controls are operated by the Application Store and do not provide the Company with a separate in-app age attestation from You. The limited onboarding, purchase, Device, and analytics information described in this Privacy Policy may therefore be processed without the Company independently verifying Your age.
We do not request a date of birth or identity document for age verification. If You believe someone under 18 has provided Personal Data through the Service, contact Us so We can take appropriate steps as required by law. The Service is not listed as a Kids Category app.
International Transfers
The Company is located in the United States. If You contact Us or if information is processed by Our providers, information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where privacy laws may differ from those where You live.
Apple may determine where information in iCloud, HealthKit, Application Store, maps, diagnostics, and similar Apple services is processed. RevenueCat, PostHog, and other providers may process information in the locations described in their policies.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where You live, You may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, portability of, or information about Personal Data We process about You, and to appeal or complain about certain privacy decisions.
Because much of Waddle to Run’s route, plan, progress, preference, and Health information is stored on Your Device or with Apple services, We may not have access to it. You can manage this information through the Application, Apple Health, Your Device, and Your Apple account.
To exercise rights for information You have provided directly to Us or information processed by Our Service Providers on Our behalf, contact Us at the email address below. We may verify Your request as permitted by law.
Links to Other Websites and Services
The Service may contain links to websites or services not operated by Us. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, security, or practices of third-party websites or services. Review the privacy policy of any third-party service You use.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date when changes are made. If a change is material, We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice through the Service or another appropriate method.
Changes are effective when posted or otherwise made available.
